The NBA's talent level is higher than it's been in years, and the playoffs are where these players take their talent to a new level.

So SocialVibe decided to team up with the NBA and bring its badges to a new level!  We have posted 16 new widgets (one per team in the playoffs) with LIVE video feeds from the NBA, real time scores, and an interactive voting feature that allows people who see your page to vote on how far THEY think your team is going in the playoffs.

The perk for the NBA is a 42' Haier HDTV, which will go to one lucky person at the end of the drawing.

Also, for those who don't know, the brands on SocialVibe now have their own profile pages where you can meet up with other people sponsored by that brand.  So go check out the NBA widgets and vote for your team!

Most of you know about our SocialVibe 'Green' launch event we had a few weeks ago at Les Deux in Hollywood.  The night was a huge success, and everyone who came had a great time.

We wanted you guys to see some more interviews from the Pink Carpet so our good friends at OhSo.tv put together a video of some interviews and a little peak of Les Deux inside BEFORE the madness began.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this particular 'perk', it was one of our most wanted perks to date.  There are a lot of new prizes in the system.  

We are aware its very hard to keep track of these things, such as who won, when, did YOU qualify, etc.  So we are working on fixing all these things ASAP.  Promise the next round of new features will make this stuff much easier to figure out.

SocialVibe now has an offical MySpace Apps. page!  (App. stands for application for those of you who don't know)  What does this mean you ask?  A few things...

1.  We now have an apps. profile page on MySpace.  This is similar to a normal MySpace page, only designed specifically for MySpace apps.  You can add us as a friend there and add us as an application.  They are two DIFFERENT things though so make sure to do both.  The link is below...

 2.  Why add it as an app?  Heres where it gets fun  When you add us as an application a few things happen, first of all it ADDS SocialVibe onto your MySpace homepage right below where you see normally see 'new comments', 'new messages' etc.  See below.

 Here is where it gets super cool...it also adds a cool new area to your homepage that you see when you sign in!  It appears on the right side of your homepage.  See below.

 From this one area you can see 'Vibe posts' who your sponsor and charity is, money raised, and how many points you have earned that day.  Plus, you can click on it to go directly to your SocialVibe page!!!  I know, so friggin cool.  We are working on more features to cram into this sucker but for now this is what we have  But it's only going to get better.

3.  When you add the application it gives you the option of if you want to show this app. on your public page.  See below.

 If you already have a badge on your page you can choose to either have the new app. show on your profile or not.  If you leave the box checked to 'show on your profile' it AUTOMATICALLY adds your SocialVibe badge to your MySpace page in its own section!  So sweet.  Best part is it automatically matches your profile PERFECTLY.  MySpace treats it as any other section, like movies, about me, who I'd like to meet, etc.  See some examples below.

 People who visit your page can click this and interact with it like normal.  So you can choose to copy/paste or add the app., its up to you. Does it get any cooler!??!?!  The answer is yes...heres why.

This is just the tip of the iceberg for us.  We are putting some really cool features into this app. so people can manage almost everything all in one area, and showcase their badges in the best way for them.  It seems like it can't get any better, but trust me it will.  People always ask how SocialVibe can get any cooler, but I promise we have some web shattering ideas for our site.  Is it possible to be too awesome?

So there you have it.  Add us on MySpace now, put us in your top, and spread the word.  We love you guys and gals, and I promise we read every piece of feedback.  This site is 100% driven on user feedback and ideas so keep them coming.

 Not everything in the Vibe is going to be so serious (check out the last post about mis-matched shoes lol).  SocialVibe has a very music oriented office so we thought every now and then we would show you guys some of our favorite spots around Hollywood.  It can't always be work

 For everyone who is bored and broke, I got the cure-all fix for the music lovers.  Did you know that you can go to your local Guitar Center and they will let you dance as close to heaven as humanly possible?  It's a musician's dream!  There's a vintage room full of Axes ranging from $500, all the way up to...you ready...$100,000!!!  And they actually let you touch, even PLAY!

I personally fell in love with a Goya!  It's a Swedish Crafted Vintage guitar company.  These guitars are like something you'll never see or play.  The necks are smoother than a babies face and the sparkle could bling a jungle cat.  They are no longer in existence, so these babies are hard to come by.   Ohhhh how I long for a Goya...

Turns out I'm a bigger 'cool nerd' than even I thought, thats right I ended up at a massive LA club for the TechCrunch.com and PopSugar.com event.  

It was a great chance to meet and greet with people who make some of the most interesting sites on the internet 'tick'.  There was also this really cool thing that they had there that engraved (with a LASER) logos or a phrase onto your cell phone.  How cool is that?  Brandon, one of our tech guys, got "I Love Noodles" put on his blackberry....don't ask.  The upstairs was a sort of VIP area that looked like the place the banker from Deal or no Deal stays in.  I kept imagining Tom from MySpace just sitting up there staring at all of us...his lil army of MySpacers.  

Perry Ferrell of Jane's Addiction fame was djing the whole night, got to talk to him for a minute or two.  Turns out we both get our haircut by the same guy, small world.  So I get home and my mind/body is so confused, it was a night out in Hollywood, yet it doesn't feel at all like a night out in Hollywood.  I must admit though, the party was packed, and a great success.  Kudos to all those involved!

One last thing...an employee of SocialVibe who shall remain unnamed to save face, accidently wore two different shoes to the event.  No joke...look at the pic.

One of our causes will be featured on American Idol tonight!  IDOL GIVES BACK, the historic Emmy Award-winning event and music celebration airing Wednesday, April 9th (7:30-10 PM ET/PT) on FOX, will raise awareness and funds to benefit charity.  Charity: Water will have their public service announcement (PSA) run on the IDOL GIVES BACK which will hopefully raise awareness and funds for this great cause. 

Charity: Water is an organization that is helping bring clean water to developing countries around the world.  Their PSA will air on the show tomorrow night.  Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly, Hotel Rwanda director Terry George, and award winning cinematographer Ellen Kuras donated their time to shoot the PSA. 

Here is premise: Imagine if New York's taps ran dry.  What would we do?  This 60 second spot allows us to imagine for a moment what life without clean water would be like in New York City.

American Idol Preview

 This is the final cut video of the event from a few weeks ago.  This one includes more interviews with top SocialVibe users on the red carpet.  The event was a huge success, and we want to thank EVERYONE that has helped us get this far!  Google SocialVibe launch party, or even SocialVibe and Mena Suvari  We will be having more and more events in the future and we of course would love to see everyone there!  We will always keep everyone updated on upcoming events for anyone that is in the area.  There will be events at some point outside of Hollywood, don't worry  

Feel free to re-post this video!  We would love for everyone to see SocialVibe in a 'real-life' presence.
