Combined with the new invite-a-friend tool, the video helps you support the brands and causes you love by spreading the word.  Soon you will be seeing this everywhere, but we wanted to showcase it to our members first!

I hope everyone had a great long weekend!  I personally went to the beach Monday for some BBQ and surf.  Much needed, but now its back to work for everyone.

Thursday night a few SocialVibe employees were invited to the Declare Yourself and American Eagle event at The Palihouse in West Hollywood.

AE designed a limited edition graphic T available Fall 2008 for young adults looking to make a nonpartisan fashion statement and "Declare" themselves in 2008.  The goal being to encourage all 18-year olds to register to vote in the 2008 election.

The event drew some big celebs like Gabrielle Union, Stephen Colletti, and Project Runway winner Christian Soriano.

Some of Hollywoods biggest names designed their own version of the VOTE shirt for people to see.  We tried to get more pictures but our little camera died on us

A few of our users have taken SocialVibe to their iPhones, and I gotta admit, it looks good.  Although I'm hearing lots of rumors that Apple is coming out with a new iPhone in the next 2 weeks or so.  Anyone know anything about this?  I noticed a few threads in the Apple forum on SocialVibe talking about this, but honestly have no idea if it's true or not.

Also, as we all know Thursday is quickly becoming the new Friday.  So, last night a few SocialVibe employees went to the American Eagle and Declare Yourself event in West Hollywood.  It was pretty cool, a few celebs showed up all for the cause of registering young people to vote.  We took some pics that I'm waiting to get sent to me, once I get them I'll post them for everyone to see.

Many of you have noticed the new homepage, and along with it the creation of the Disaster Relief Cause for the earthquake victims in Asia, and those affected by the cyclone in Myanmar.

SocialVibe launched Disaster Relief this week, with the idea that our members will respond immediately to events like this.  This month we will focus on Disaster Relief International which provides medical assistance to victims of poverty, disaster and unrest.  Charity: Water, will be helping to bring safe and clean water to these impoverished areas.

The two charities will split proceeds raised through SocialVibe members who select Disaster Relief as one of their causes.

HOW DO I GET A PINK BALL?

There are TWO ways you can earn a coveted Pink Ball:

1. Invite 5 Active Users

Use the invite-a-friend tool on your dashboard to invite all of your friends to join you on SocialVibe. When 5 of your friends have joined and posted their own SocialVibe badges, go to www.socialvibe.com/pinkball.  Provide your name and address, and within 2-3 weeks the Pink Ball will be on your doorstep.  

2. Earn 2,000 Points

Upon reaching 2,000 points in the system go to www.socialvibe.com/pinkball. Provide your address and it’s on the way! Don’t worry if you think 2,000 points is a lot, making a difference on SocialVibe is easy.

More ways to earn points are just around the corner including an online street team... email streetteam@socialvibe.com to be the first to know.
