Professional skateboarder and reality star Ryan Sheckler might be best known for his smooth moves - both on a skateboard and on the ladies - but he is no stranger to charity initiatives. He once offered to donate his SUV to the person who raises the most funds for the Sheckler Foundation, the charity he established that partners with the Children's Cancer Research Fund.

This time, Ryan is using his skateboarding image to help raise money for cancer research. X Games 14 kicked off last night with a huge party on the rooftop of the STAPLES Center in LA. For the next four days, the best of the best in extreme action sports (such as BMX, skateboarding, Moto X and rally car racing) will be competing for coveted titles.

Ryan, who has proven himself among the industry as well as among the throngs of young female fans who religiously watch his MTV reality show, has decorated a special skateboard deck for a charity auction running in conjunction with X Games 14. For the third year in a row,"Don't Ever Give Up!," the Skatedeck Auction, will be auctioning off custom-designed skate decks to raise funds for The V Foundation for Cancer Research. In addition to Sheckler, a plethora of other athletes, artists and celebrities have created their own deck designs, all painted on decks donated by Powell Skate One.

Don't worry - just because you can't make it to the X Games doesn't mean you can't bid on the one-of-a-kind skateboards! They will all be up on eBay, through August 9, for your bidding pleasure. Do you love Ryan enough to bid on his deck? It's up to $150!
