This weekend, celebrities are getting barefoot and showing off their skills on a surfboard for Surfrider Foundation's 'Celebrity Expression Session,' to help raise funds towards cleaning up our beaches, oceans, and waves and keeping them "barefoot friendly."

On Sept 6 in Malibu, celebs such as Jason Mraz, Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Noodles from the Offspring, Sal Masekela, Richard Burgi, Chad Lowe, Peter DiStefano, Brandon Cruz and David Chokachi will gather and compete to earn $50 in donations from Barefoot Wine towards Surfrider for each wave caught and rode. This is on top of an incredible $125,000 donation that Barefoot Wine, known for their award-winning California wines, have already given! Barefoot Wine is proud to help make and keep America's beaches "barefoot friendly."

”We are stoked to be part of Surfrider’s Celebrity Express Session,” said Tanvee Mehra of Barefoot Wine. “We raise our glasses to all the Surfrider Foundation volunteers and celebrities as they have a great time catching waves for a great cause.”
“We are very excited to have our friends at Barefoot Wine presenting the Celebrity Expression Session,” says Surfrider Foundation Director of Marketing Matt McClain. “The Celebrity Expression Session would not be possible if it was not for all of our sponsors who share our commitment to protect and preserve our oceans, waves and beaches.”
The event will take place at First Point, Surfrider Beach in Malibu on Saturday, September 6 as part of the Malibu Surfing Association’s 45th Anniversary MSA Classic – the longest running longboard competition in Southern California.
This sounds awesome, I'm interested to see who catches the most waves! We here at SocialVibe are huge fans of surfing, and many of us surf everyday (while others have never been on a surfboard in their lives... myself (Sarah) included in the last category).
Are you into surfing, or the beach in general? Help preserve the planet's beaches by making Surfrider your cause on SocialVibe today!
