For a teenage girl, turning sixteen is QUITE a big deal. Huge parties usually take place, big presents, cakes, fancy decorations, party dresses, etc. But how many sixteen year olds do you know that celebrate by renting out Disneyland and charging guests $250 a pop?!
Well that is exactly how teen queen Miley Cyrus glorified her sixteenth birthday party this weekend! Though her birthday isn't officially until November 23, Miley held her big bash on Sunday, and the Anaheim theme park closed down to the public so she could reign over the happiest place on earth with 5,000 of her closest friends and family.
Guests included Steve Carell, Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Jennie Garth and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Miley donned a couture gown made of tulle and encrusted in silver sequins from designer Elie Saab (such gowns generally run between an astonishing $50,000-$200,000 - a bit out of the average teenage girl's reach). For her four-song performance, she changed into a white ruffled skirt and denim vest with "Sweet Sixteen" embroidered on the back.
The party also featured a purple carpet (Miley's fave color), an opening set by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus (including his hit song "Achy Breaky Heart"), and of course... an incredible fireworks show high above Sleeping Beauty's castle. I mean what Disneyland night would be complete without it?
Miley also mentioned that her parents gifted her with a puppy for her birthday. The puppy, however, was not in attendance.
I think this blows the girls on MTV's show "Sweet Sixteen" out of the water, what do you think? Would you pay $250 to attend?

If I was as famous and well-known as Miley Cyrus, especially at such a young age, I would definetly rent out Disney land. I think she is a decent singer and a great role model to young girls. You go girl.

if i had that kind of money to just throw away, i'd never spend it on that. there are more important things in the world besides obsessing over celebs and paying ridiculous amounts of money for a birthday party. i think if miley really wanted to be a "role model" to young girls, she'd do something more important with all that cash. :p

I wouldn't go. All that money could've went to something a little more, let's say, realistic. People in the world are dying of disease but lets make sure the big stars, and Disney stay in business. 5,000 of her closests friends... Most be as fake as she is.
