We are happy to report that Animal Planet is using airtime to expose the whaling industry that Hayden Panettiere and The Whaleman Foundation so passionately protest.
The television channel's new series Whale Wars officially premieres TONIGHT at 9pm ET/PT - a seven-part series about whaling practices in oceanic territories. Thrilling!

Whale Wars documents Captain Paul Watson (co-founder of of GreenPeace) and his team, who are a part of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, as they patrol the waters in an effort to put a stop to whaling, poaching, shark finning and habitat destruction — and uphold international conservation laws. Animal Planet caught footage of Captain Watson and his team as they demonstrate their extraordinary love for marine life by going to extreme lengths, and through experiencing capsizing, possible hostage taking and alleged shooting.
Whale Wars is sure to be an exciting and important series. Check your local listings and watch it tonight or during another scheduled broadcast.
Check out this incredible preview photos and video we got our hands on, courtesy of Animal Planet:
