In the ultimate act of unselfishness, Madonna announced plans to donate all winnings from a recent High Court case to her charity, Raising Malawi.
The singer claimed close to $9 million in the case against a British tabloid involving private photographs of her wedding to film director Guy Ritchie. A court hearing to determine the actual amount of damages will be held next year.
Madonna’s adopted three-year-old, David Banda, is from Malawi, which in part prompted her to establish Raising Malawi, which helps children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic in the African country.
