Chatter about a Gossip Girl spin-off came to a hush months ago when execs released a statement saying "there is no approved concept and/or confirmation of a Gossip Girl spin-off at this time."

But that's old news, GG fans. Updated reports are in and that spin-off has indeed been improved!

The show will center around a much younger Lily van der Woodsen (along with Rufus, naturally) stirring up trouble in Hollywood in the 80s. Can't wait to see what THAT fashion looks like! If the current GG storyline is any indication, it will be full of drama.

"Written by Gossip creators/executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the spin-off begins when Lily moves to the San Fernando Valley with her outcast sister following an argument with her parents. Departing from a world of luxury to the valley that Lily once made fun of, she goes over the hill into Hollywood, where we're sure she gets into a bunch of trouble and scandalous situations."

Shwartz and Savage chose LA over NYC because they "didn't want to upset the chemistry of our cast — all of whom are crucial to the show. Nor did we want to dilute New York City as a character."

If the current GG storyline is any indication, it will be full of drama, regardless of location.

And if our recent poll is any indication, the show will be a hit! 42% of you said that you WOULD in fact watch a GG spin-off about Lily & Rufus!
