I've read stories about Wiimotes going awry and smashing televisions and furniture, but I haven't heard about any animal fatalities until now. Kathy White nearly killed her 5 month old miniature Sheltie, Ozzy, while playing Wii Bowling this past Christmas.
- "We had just got the Wii for Christmas," explained owner Kathy White, "so we were trying it out, and that's when Alexis and I were bowling and Ozzy was standing by me and he jumped up and I hit him in the temple and killed him instantly."

Kathy, clearly not skilled at animal resuscitation, called her neighbor Pene Honey for help. Fortunately, Pene was able to revive the dog via mouth-to-mouth.
It seems as though Kathy has learned her lesson.
- "I just want people to be aware of their environment," she said, "especially small dogs and children so this doesn't happen to them. Because it was a horrifying experience and I don't want anyone to go through this."
I'm sure Kathy meant no harm, but the real hero of this story is the neighbor. Pene Honey for President!
