I agree with her. Although I think zoos are decent ways for children to learn about the species out there, I think that they could involve more education in the zoos. Don't just put them behind a class wall, educate the children. And PETA is ridiculous. They are malicious, ignorant people. I cannot stand the organization, even though I am all for animal rights.

the thing about zoos is that for some animals they have to natural habitat anymore. I hate seeing animals in such small places, but at least the zoos care about them. My local zoo just got a ton of funding to pretty much re-do the entire thing because it's been around since the 50's and is outdated. They want to do what they can for the animals they have.

I hate PETA, they really get on my nerves with their attitude towards people in general, but I don't know much about peta2. Neko seems like a pretty real person, with pretty real views. While I'm not 100% with her on the zoo deal, I think shes got her heart in the right place.

I kinda agree, but the end result is as humans, we have domesticated animals. We are a lazy race for the most part and never want to assume responsibility for our actions. Animals are what they are because of our actions...not their own. So we must respect that and treat them with every ounce of compassion and go the extra mile since they lack the ability to do this on their own.

I completely agree with her. I'm a big fan of pit bulls & know that they have an undeserved bad reputation. PeTA is a horrible organization, whose president euthanizes thousands of animals herself. She is also anti-pit bull because she was supposedly bitten by one as a child. Not to mention, HSUS was also for putting down the Michael Vick dogs. I love Best Friends Animal Society & have follwed up on the wonderful progress they have made with these beautiful dogs!

Its sad Micheal Vick is such a coward, he raised these precious animals to kill and be killed. It is wrong. All these dogs know now honestly is to fight. We dont need to kill them, but Id be cautious when handeling the dogs. Im not quite sure that they can be re-conditioned. Anywho, I think we should get advice on this subject from an actual animal expert, who deals with animals of these situations, of course in a human way.

Hey I agree about how the animals are the ones getting killed, but zoos actually care about the animals and not all are extremely tiny. They're quite lucky if you think about it, they dont have to worry about any predators and they get fed everyday. Most of them were born in captivity anyways, its safer for them in the zoos.

I agree to an extent. I mean there are animals in zoos that can no longer be found in the wild. Going to the Zoo is regular nt occurence in my family and we love animals around here. I mean we should all do our part and conserve energy and stand against habitat loss and poaching, but when it come s down to it zoos are here to stay. Also PETA has their moments.....Sometimes they miss the mark.
