Let's take a trip around the internet and see what's happening outside of our SocialVibe bubble, shall we?
1. Sacha Baron Cohen's Brüno Gets An NC-17 Rating: Audiences may have to wait a bit longer for Brüno, the next masterpiece from the Borat and Ali G creator Sacha Baron Cohen. The MPAA gave the film an NC-17 rating after their first pass... looks like it's got a little too much sexy. Back to the cutting room! (via PopSugar)
2. Foiled! Dorchester Students Attempt Dinosaur Theft: A group of students in Dorchester, England attempted what they thought would be a hilarious (and successful) heist - stealing a life-size triceratops replica from the local Dinosaur Museum. Unfortunately, things did not work out in their favor...(via Geekologie)
3. The Top 8 Moments Of Last Night's Gossip Girl: Bree from Buzznet counts down her most memorable moments from last night's Gossip Girl. How do you feel about Nate & Blair back together again? Weiiiiird! (via Buzznet)

This past Saturday was Earth Hour, and millions of people around the globe shut their lights off for one hour to conserve energy and celebrate our planet.
Here are some other photos of Earth Hour 2009 happening around the world:
Although there is no real way to measure the amount of energy saved during Earth Hour, we are sure it was a lot, and at the very least, made people realize that turning off unused lights is an easy way to fight climate change.
Pop star extraordinaire Madonna, who adopted her son David from a Malawi orphanage last year, is currently back in the area hoping to adopt a second child.
Although she's experiencing a bit of hassle in the adoption process, she's moving forward with supporting her charity, Raising Malawi. Her new book, I Am Because We Are - documenting the AIDS epidemic in Malawi - launches on Wednesday, April 2.
Malawi is home to 13 million people, 1 million of which are AIDS orphans. The book features photos from award-winning photojournalist Kristen Ashburn and testimonials from these children and their families. It also features images taken from Madonna's full feature documentary of the same name (which you can view in full on Hulu.) All author proceeds from the book will be donated to Raising Malawi and The Raising Malawi Academy for Girls.
The book launch will be accompanied by a fundraising auction taking place on April 2 at the PowerHouse Arena in Brooklyn, NY. You can also bid on these one-of-a-kind items donated by Madonna and her cronies by visiting their eBay auction until April 12.
About her potential second adoption - many critics are speaking out, saying Madonna would be better off donating to the orphanage rather than adopting a single child to live a life of luxury. What do you think about Madonna's struggle to adopt another child? Should she be allowed to adopt, or are orphaned children better off being raised in their own environment?

Afterwards, take a few moments to sign up for SocialVibe, so you can earn free donations for The Whaleman Foundation by advertising your favorite brands on your social networks. No, it won't cost you a thing.
Once all one million signatures are collected, Hayden will personally deliver this petition to the June 2009 meeting of the International Whaling Commission:
To: All Member Nations of the International Whaling Commission (IWC) and their respective Government Leaders
We, the undersigned, call on all member nations of the IWC to vote to immediately stop all commercial whaling and lethal scientific research whaling by Japan, Norway, and Iceland and to enforce the current global whaling moratorium. Furthermore, we call on the Governments of Japan, Norway, and Iceland to stop their respective government sponsored whaling operations and to cease the hunting of any and all cetacean (dolphin, whale, and porpoise) species as whaling poses an unnecessary and unacceptable risk to both the health and recovery of surviving cetacean populations and to the people who consume cetacean meat which has been shown to contain extremely high levels of contaminants including Mercury, Dioxin, DDT, PCBs and is unsafe for human consumption.
Believe it or not, we had not one but TWO people send in Pink Ball photos with Einstein for this week's Pink Ball Photos of the Week (PBPOTW)! Alright, so it wasn't exactly Einstein, but it's still pretty creative. Check out those and all the other winners below.
For your own chance at 50 SocialVibe points, find out what this week's theme is below!
"My photo is with Einstein. Okay, so he's not really so much a person as a dog but I figure he's as close as I'll get to the real guy. My roommate and I are both math nerds so when we got a dog, naturally, the name was going to be of some genius....Although he has his less-than-"E=MC^2" moments, he still sort of looks like the guy, right? <3"
THIS WEEK'S THEME is: IT'S SPRING! Celebrate the new season by taking a Pink Ball photo that is Spring-related.
Send your Pink Ball pics to pinkballphotos@socialvibe.com and include the theme in the subject line. The best photos will receive 50 SocialVibe points!
Most schools have rules - no cutting class, no revealing clothing, no fighting. Rules like that are just a part of being a student; but how about "no touching?" Students at East Shore Middle School in Connecticut are protesting a recent ban put on students putting their hands on one another... in any way!
"Going down the halls it is so cramped that it is hard not to touch anyone," Amanda Bollano said. "But if it is accidental, they won’t do anything. If it is intentional, you might get detention."
Patrick Abbazia is voicing his opinion of the physical contact ban by attending class bound in blue duct tape. He and his friends give each other "knuckles" - you know, pounding it - and high-fiving. He thinks that banning those actions doesn't seem right.
"My mom says it’s not good for a person to go all day without touching,” the eighth-grader said.
EDIT: We just discovered the cause for the ban - one student kicked another in the -- "no no area." More here.
What do you think about this ban? What is the strangest rule your school has implemented?
I asked d00d the same question, and he said that school officials in his Arizona town prohibited them from wearing flip flops to school... even in 100+ degree weather!
Losing a pet is never easy, but sadly, most of us have had to deal with this tragedy at one time or another. The adorable Maya handles it with grace as she and her parents hold a bathroom funeral for her departed goldfish, Lucky.
Watch below. Trust me, it's funny - I mean sad. No laughing.
As if Guitar Hero weren't wildly popular enough already, they've now got Heidi Klum on their side. The supermodel (and might I mention, mother of three) filmed a commercial for the interactive video game. Her performance replicates Tom Cruise's iconic "sunglasses, white shirt and underwear" slide from the 80s flick Risky Business.
Of course, Heidi stays true to her Victoria Secret roots and classes it up with lingerie.
What do you think of Heidi's performance? Does this give anyone else the urge to play Guitar Hero in their underwear?
