Maybe I don't know exactly what happened, but even if he didn't actually beat her and "just" slapped her once, he will do it again, as Oprah said. It could get worse over time, too... Rihanna has a lot of young girls looking up to her too. They'll see this and think it's okay. I don't think that Rihanna has to set this big example for anyone, but it's just common sense that you don't take someone back after that.

It's not even as much that he hit her and she took him back, because millions of women have done that. It's that she's a public figure, that countless little girls look up to, and what is she saying to them? As long as he says he loves you afterwards, it's fine! Forget that the chances that he won't hit you again are SLIM, and that he even did it in the first place.
