Disneynature Releasing "Earth" on Earth Day 2009

We've got something special to look forward to this coming Earth Day. In addition to Earth Hour, when millions of people worldwide will shut off the lights for one hour to conserve energy, Disneynature (independent film label under the Disney umbrella) is also releasing their feature-length nature documentary, Earth.

The world needs more polar bear foot.

I recently caught the trailer in-theatre and it was mind-blowing. This tiny trailer does it no justice!

I think I'm gonna cry! If this is anything like March of the Penguins I'm done for.

This amazing new film is from award-winning British producer/director Alastair Fothergill, whose credits include the Emmy and Peabody award-winning "Planet Earth" series (BBC and The Discovery Channel) and "The Blue Planet."

BTW, Sigur Ros as the theme song is awesomely appropriate. The Icelandic group has been known to feature gorgeous high quality nature footage in their DVDs (I highly recommend Heima).

	Courtney - the producer/director is the same one from Planet Earth series (hence why it's presented by BBC), so if you like that, you'll like this!

	That's amazing, I would watch it, but it doesn't have subtitles for me (Deaf). Also, I love Sigur Ros! They're awesome band from Iceland, i have a lot of their songs.

	I really want to see this movie!!! But ya know with the whole economy situation, I'm trying to not spend so much money. Especially on empty investments such like movie theater tickets haha. 	Looks like a second attempt at marketing the exact same material from Planet Earth--some of the trailer scenes are straight out of the series, and I'm sure others are things that Planet Earth decided not to include. Very disappointing.

	I think it's so appropriate they're releasing this on Earth Day - something to help us understand our earth more I remember seeing the trailer in theaters and it was SO amazing!! Even my HDTV can't compare to how incredible this is going to look on a movie screen.

	i want to see this 100%, just watching the trailer makes me shed tears its amazing, the power of the beauty of nature and the harsh realities of life it throws me every time. it goes to show us though that even though we have our problems even animals have thier own problems too...
