My school did this last year. Thank God I'm out of there.

My school banned dice for any reason because of gambling. But it didn't matter why you had the dice or if it was even yours, if you were caught holding a pair of dice your were automatically suspended for 2 weeks.

I've also been yelled at and told not to wear a shirt that says "Your favorite band sucks" and another one that says "Life is crap".

in my school, we are not allowed to wear regular t-shirts, even if there is nothing on them, and we are not allowed to wear flip flops in 100 degree + weather either, and no tank tops too!

i'm a very touchy person.. with guys especially. i'll pass my guy friends in the hall and touch them. their hair, their shoulder.. i just do.. i'd be pissed if they started giving out detentions. i'd slip up and do it on accident =/

yeah for a while we couldn't wear flip flops, and could only wear shorts during a certain time of year.
we can't wear sleeveless shirts, guys cant have facial hair, have hair long enough the shake, or have hair past their ear lobes. guys cant wear ear rings, no one can have facial piercings, have tattoos showing, or have "un-natural" colored hair.

At my school, if you do something as simple as giving a high five you are likely to get after school detention, lunch detention, or some other form of punishment.

It's completely cruel, and very difficult to communicate with other people.

That's ridiculous. Human contact is essential to our development. By stopping kids from interacting in that way while they're still developing, the school is stunting the personal growth of a generation.

I understand it to an extent but...no touching period is a little extreme. Like that eighth grader says, high fiving and touching hands and what-not is okay. I would get it if they had a serious fighting problem, but other than that, it's a little too 'in your face' for me.

My friend Rachael had to put a different shirt on because her shirt had the 3OH!3 symbol on it. They said that it was vagina in sign language. We're thinking about making shirts that say vagina and penis on them and having a bunch of people wear them to school.

I think this is silly. People get in trouble for hugging each other in my school; lame.

At my old school, bandanas or headbands of any sort were considered gang related. And at my current school, you're really not supposed to hold hands or anything, but most teachers don't care. There are those few that pester you about it constantly though. Annoying...

my friend was talking about tagging one day at school he got searched. and they expelled him for having cans of spray paint. but he does tagging for art, not for gang related things. and they had found a tag on the school, and now he wont be able to walk with his senior class. just graduate.

My middle school in Florida didn't allow us to wear flip flops for our safety. They let us in high school though.
