Earlier this week, Hugh Jackman declared on his Twitter that he would be taking making a $100,000 donation to a charity, and left it up to his Twitter followers to convince him which was the most deserving.
After thousands of replies, @RealHughJackman has decided on not one, but TWO charities to receive the donation. We're happy to report that one of them was charity: water, one of SocialVibe's very own causes! The $50,000 donation will play a big part in bringing clean, safe water to the nearly 1 billion people in the world who go without. Looks like Scott Harrison & co are going to be mighty busy building wells!
The recipient of the other $50,000 will be Operation of Hope, a volunteer surgical team that has changed the lives of over 2000 children around the world...and counting. They work closely with Oprah, who is notorious for being one of the top celebrity philanthropists.
