After weeks of camping out and waiting, each participating city in Invisible Children's Rescue has now been rescued. Over 100 cities across the world participated, over 100,000 people, and one by one they were rescued, until only one city stood: Chicago. Supporters and founders of IC reached out to Oprah, a Chicago resident, in hopes of getting her to help spread the word in the way that only she can.

Six days of waiting outside in the cold and rain later, those 500 remaining supporters surrounded her studio and stood silently, holding up peace signs and waiting for Oprah to emerge. Eventually, she did, and graciously invited them to speak on her show.

Check out the footage of Oprah chatting with Bobby, one of the IC founders, about the campaign to end the longest running war in Africa.

She even plugged InvisibleChildren.com. We would consider this a success! Congratulations to IC and all of you who stood strong to get your cause in the limelight. We have faith that your efforts will pay off and these child soldiers will be rescued just like you were.

Continue the fight by choosing Invisible Children as your Cause on SocialVibe. So far, SV members have raised an outstanding $20,000 for the organization.

Were you a part of The Rescue?

Good to see the movement is finally being spread. My student council takes apart of the invisible children things here in our town and locally [statewise]. It's good to see that it can possibly grow to another wave of people to help those poor children
