If you live in Southern California and you haven't got plans for next Wednesday, May 20th, Surfrider Foundation has a event that is going to let you unleash your inner rockstar while helping save our oceans.

Surfrider and Emergen-C have teamed up again for their annual BLUE Note Karaoke Experience at the Key Club in West Hollywood, CA to raise awareness of coastal water quality.
You've all seen photos and heard stories about the atrocious state of our beaches and oceans. Each year, there are more than 25,000 beach closures and advisories issued in the United States due to unhealthful water quality. Let's do something about it.
- “The effort to secure healthy coastal water quality comes down to one thing: the individual,” says Matt McClain, Surfrider Foundation’s Director of Communications. “The choices we make as individuals are what make the biggest impact on coastal water quality. The BLUE Note Karaoke Experience is a great way to celebrate the individual and educate and inspire everyone to make changes in their daily lives to keep our oceans, waves and beaches safe and healthy.”
Come to think of it, even if you have plans, you might want to break them. This is an extremely important issue, and besides, this event is going to be awesome! Come out and get your karaoke on in support of Surfrider Foundation and help raise awareness for coastal water quality. Save the beaches so future generations can enjoy them like we have!
A $10 donation will get you access to the event, which starts at 8:00pm. For more info, go here.
We'll see you there! And don't forget that you can help preserve our beaches from behind your very own computer by choosing Surfrider as your Cause on SocialVibe. Surf's up, dude.
