One of the best things about starting a new school year is buying shiny new school supplies. Unfortunately for many kids, this is just not possible. That's why DoSomething.org has teamed up with Grammy-winning songstress Ciara and STAPLES to collect school supplies for underprivileged students!
All summer long (from July-September), you can gather school supplies for kids in need and drop them off at your local STAPLES store. The supplies collected will be redistributed to local educational and not-for-profit organizations serving disadvantaged youth.

- "The Do Something 101 campaign is such a great cause. I can’t imagine going to school without pencils, notebooks and other basic supplies,” said Ciara. “Every little bit counts and, through Do Something 101, the more we can get these essential products to teens, the more we help kids stay in school and excel even further. I look forward to working with DoSomething.org and Staples to spread the word!"
Here's a few words from the beautiful and talented Ciara, or shall we say "Super C," as she calls her comic book character on her new album, Fantasy Ride.
This is a SUPER easy way for you to give back. As you're buying yourself new binders, pencils, paper, folders and highlighters, just pick up a few more items for kids in need. Or, donate $1 to the campaign at your local STAPLES. 100% of the proceeds will benefit local teens in need. DoSomething101.org has all the info you need.
DoSomething.org is a fantastic organization that allows teens to leverage their influence in their own communities by finding volunteer opportunities and more. You can support DoSomething.org by choosing them as your Cause on SocialVibe!
