That's complete bull, but sadly, it happens all the time. I called the "illustrious" Florida Highway Patrol after being the victim of a hit and run a few years ago and they refused to send someone because in my anger and frustration I cursed on the phone. I hate to say it, but as a general rule I'm really not a big fan of law enforcement - too many jackasses on power trips.

All I have to say is that a 911 operators are supposed to be trained to handle all kinds of situations, including ones like these. I did jobshadowing at a police station before, and the second day there I spent the entire time with the 911 operators learning all about them, their jobs, how they do certain things, etc, and it was a slow day so in between calls (since there were quite a few operators there, always enough for all the calls to get answered) they were telling me about different phone calls they had to deal with on the job. Which is why I am also surprised that this man (A) picked up this girl's call each time rather than her call going to another operator there & (B) not being called out by another operator in the room with him when he was hanging up on her multiple times and calling her an ass. Was he the only operator on call that day? Was there no other operators in the room hearing him say nasty things to her? Come on now.
This man needs a more serious punishment because if her dad died, it would of been his fault and his fault only for not getting the ambulance.

The operator's behavior was ridiculous. The girl was in a state of panic, while the operator not only cussed back at her, but put a person's life on the line because of a few cuss words. She better win if she sues.

The police office is 100% wrong. Period. I have called 911 while life and death were at my feet. One person was a seizure victim. It is extremely scary. I cursed a few times but the operator NEVER acknowledged it. Instead, she did her job, got the info and got the paramedics there in all of four minutes. This officer obviously has issues that no one should be subjected to. Period. And he called her an a*#! Wow.

i think she still should have been more clear though. i would have called back and immediately said "my dad fell and is having a seizure, he just had surgery." the operator would probably have been more cooperative.
