Imagine you're hanging out at home when all the sudden your father, who had recently undergone brain surgery, begins having a seizure. Your natural instinct is to call 911 and get an ambulance to your home immediately to prevent further complications. But what if the 911 operator refuses to cooperate, because in your fit of hysteria, you dropped a couple F bombs?

A teenager in Chicago suburb Lincoln Park recently experienced this exact scenario, and on top of it, was even arrested upon running to the police station to get some help after being hung up on numerous times. This is particularly infuriating considering the operator actually cusses BACK at her! Watch the local news story for more info:
Thankfully, the operator eventually caved and contacted a Rescue Squad to send an ambulance and the teen girl's father was alright. Charges against the teen have since been dropped and she has two years to decide whether she wants to sue for wrongful arrest.
We're almost positive there is no existing law that prohibits cursing on the phone. Even if the 911 operator were offended and wished to press charges, under no circumstances should he have hung up on the phone, potentially costing someone their life. What do you think- should she have cleaned her mouth up or is the operator a complete imbecile?
