It's a sad day for the entertainment world as the iconic Ed McMahon has passed away at age 86. The former Tonight Show sidekick responsible for the "Heeeeeeeeere's Johnny!" bit died just past midnight at Ronald Regan/UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.

The lovable McMahon had been experiencing numerous other health setbacks for years, in addition to battling cancer. Ed was keepin' it real right up until the end, I mean who can forget his Cash4Gold SuperBowl commercial with MC Hammer:
