You guys went wild for Cobra Starship's song Good Girls Go Bad featuring Leighton Meester (of Gossip Girl fame) when we featured it as the Song of the Day. The official music video for the song was just released and it is hot hot hot! Warning: this song is extremely catchy.

NYLON Magazine had a few seconds (literally) to ask Leighton about the shoot, here's what she had to say:

    NYLON:
You have a great look in the Good Girls Go Bad video. Did you pick your own clothes?

LM: “I did! I loved the clothes in that video… I wore a beautiful Bally dress, and I ended up keeping a few pieces from set - I kept this great dress from Kim Ovitz with a belted waist that I love. She makes amazing stuff. And do you know my friends were in the video?”

    NYLON: No way.

LM: “There’s a lyric in the song about five best friends, so it was me and Vicky [Cobra Starship’s keytarist], plus three of my girlfriends. They all got styled for the shoot, too…

    Read the rest here.

Hmm... we wonder what "going bad" means. According to this video, it's having a secret party in the basement of a deli jam packed with gambling, drinking and other scandalous things. We suppose it is open for interpretation! What do you think? Do you love it or hate it?

Of all the tributes to Michael Jackson that have taken place and been created over the past few days - both online and off - BillieTweets.com is definitely one of our faves. It's a Twitter-themed tribute to the King of Pop; the music video for Billie Jean plays on the left while tweets containing the lyrics stream to the beat on the right. It's strangely addicting and I have personally watched it at least 3-4 times so far.

Speaking of Twitter and Michael Jackson... it seems the overload of people tweeting, posting and Googling about his death nearly broke the internet. Not even the Presidential elections had that kind of affect! I suppose that just goes to show you what a profound impact he had on millions of people, even if he was a little weird in his later years. True icon status!

What's the coolest MJ tribute you've seen so far? And approximately how many MJ tweets have YOU been responsible for?

P.S. I have to give credit to one of our wonderful product guys, Doug, for finding this.

Check out these photos from the official SocialVibe tent at Warped Tour. These photos were taken by one of our team members who went to check out the festivities at the Ventura, CA show... apparently the SocialVibe tent is THE place to be!

Current and future members of SocialVibe were hanging around the tent, chatting with team members, learning about our causes, taking Pink Ball photos, joining SV, buying merch and signing up to be a part of our I WEAR PINK campaign.

The iPhone 3GS is truly the phone of the future. Not only does it take incredible photos and videos (among other awesome features), but it continues to record video even AFTER being dropped in a pool!

poolsq

This guy was testing his new video capabilities out around the pool (maybe not the best idea) when the iPhone slipped and went glub, glub, glub... all the way down. It's such a sad little sound.

Edit: This COULD be fake.

The iPhone 3GS is officially available for purchase now, anyone reading have one? What do you think?

Big news, SocialVibers. We just launched a brand spankin’ new Facebook app, and it’s unlike anything you’ve seen from us before. We know you’re gonna love it, and because we love you, we’re giving you 100 points for adding it.

picture-45
Is this not the most beautiful app you've ever seen?

Our extremely good-looking new app allows you to engage with brand sponsors on the ‘book while making a measurable difference for your cause. For example, just by playing with Bruno’s soundboard or signing truth's anti-tobacco petition (the two newest additions to our sponsor family!), you’re earning cups of clean water for charity: water, minutes of nutritional therapy for Vitamin Angels, or whatever the impact may be for your chosen cause.

Since the news of Michael Jackson's passing yesterday afternoon, the entire world has been both mourning the loss and celebrating the life of the man we so lovingly called the King of Pop.

As strange as some of his actions in the later part of his life may be, one cannot deny that MJ was a true entertainer, serving as a point of influence and inspiration for millions over the past 50 years. From his younger days in the Jackson 5 to his upcoming tour that will now never be, Jackson proudly - yet awkwardly - stood in a category all his own.

mj

Here's what some of his friends and former colleagues have said about his life and passing:

"I can't stop crying over the sad news," Queen of Pop Madonna says. "I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

"We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music but of all music," said Justin Timberlake, who was clearly influenced by Jackson, wrote on his website. "He has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones."

Lisa Marie Presley, who was married to Jackson for 5 years in the mid-90s said, "I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."

"He was magic," said Beyoncé Knowles. "He was what we all strive to be. He will always be the King of Pop!"

Britney Spears said, "I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I'm devastated he's gone!"

Whitney Houston, who rose to stardom in the same era as Jackson and has suffered her own personal battles, said she is "full of grief."

Legendary Beatle Paul McCartney, who collaborated with Jackson at the height of his success, said on his website "I feel privileged to have hung out and worked with Michael. He was a massively talented boy man with a gentle soul. His music will be remembered forever and my memories of our time together will be happy ones."

People across the world are reacting in a number of ways - spontaneous candlelight vigils, blasting music in store fronts, we've even heard word of a mass moonwalk in Liverpool in honor of MJ!

Here's Michael performing Billie Jean live at a 2001 30th anniversary concert:

The world has surely lost something great, and he will be remembered fondly forever! How are you mourning and/or celebrating Michael Jackson? What was your favorite song of his?

This has to be a cruel joke... right on the heels of Farrah Fawcett's death, reports are coming in that Michael Jackson suffered a heart attack this afternoon, and one source is even saying he has died!

michael-jackson10

The King of Pop is/was 50 years old and went into cardiac arrest at his home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics responded to a 911 call from his staff and rushed him to a Los Angeles hospital. According to TMZ, the singer had no pulse when paramedics arrived and hospital staff were unable to revive him at the hospital.

This cannot be true!! It's Michael Jackson! More details to come.

Update: LA Times and CNN are also reporting the entertainer has died. This is just awful. R.I.P. Michael. You were a true icon.
