Patrick Dempsey, better known to many as McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy, is starring in a new commercial for Nike to help raise awareness for cancer research and support his pal Lance Armstrong.

The commercial is a part of an even bigger campaign called "It's About You" and features other athletes and celebs speaking about why this is important to them.
- "Cancer has affected my family and me," says Dempsey. "It's going to affect everybody. Its just a matter of time."

Side note that is completely awesome: The upcoming Tour de France will feature a new tech product from Nike called the Chalkbot, which will actually transcribe (in yellow chalk) inspiring and hopeful messages from people around the world on the road where Lance & other cyclists will be racing. All you have to do to get your message written on the road is text LIVESTRONG (followed by your message) to 36453. It'll even notify you when it's written! It gives you a way to be a part of the race for the cure, without physically being there.
