For years now, millions have been using peer-to-peer music sharing services such as Kazaa and Limewire to download music for free. Most of these folks never once imagined they'd later have to pay for this music - much less at a price more than 2200x its original price! Joel Tenenbaum is the latest individual targeted by the RIAA, and is being fined a whooping $675,000 for 30 songs he illegally downloaded and shared.

Joel admitted to the charges, but, like many, finds them unjust and has since launched JoelFightsBack.com, voicing his opinions and seeking support (and donations) from people all over the world.
There are a couple sides to the story here. Of course, artists, musicians and the companies distributing the music deserve to be paid for their hard work. On the flip side, is it really fair to charge someone over $22,000 per song?
Joel is only the second person in US history to be charged with illegal filesharing, following one woman's $1.9m fine for unlawful music downloading. Joel plans on filing for bankruptcy if the verdict stands.
What do you think-/span> is this justice?
