Six of the most powerful teens in the world have come together to record a song in the name of preserving the environment. Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and the epic Jonas Brothers appear together in the music video for Send It On, a song recorded as a part of Disney's 'Project Green: Friends of Change' campaign.

Project Green is targeted at teens, giving them the tools and motivation they need to reduce their negative impact on the environment. According to a press release from Disney, over 350,000 teens have already taken the green pledge, their promise to make eco-friendly choices by biking, recycling, using less water, etc.

The original music video has been pulled due to copyright restrictions, but here's a sneak preview along with some information about the campaign:

The pop song is currently #5 on iTunes, which is fabulous news, considering 100% of the song proceeds will benefit environmental causes through Disney's World Conservation Fund.

Say what you may about Miley and the rest of Disney's teen squad, but this is great news all-around. What do you think of the song?

I hate disney stars. They all need to fall off a cliff and die. They're pathetic. And they're all talentless.
:/ Couldn't this have been some other people?
Jeez.

Hmm...Okay I like the fact that they are raising money, but how many preteen girls are going to understand how their money goes to the fund. +5 cool points for Disney for doing this, but lose street cred using their own pop stars.

I think it's pretty cool, good song to get little kids to let their parents know what's going on with our enviroment...So then they would try and send the message on to other people.

I like that Disney used their own stars. How many kids look up to them? A lot. Now that they have a song about the environment, maybe it'll inspire kids to help out. Maybe.

I love Disney stars! :D haha. And I love the environment, perfect combination. I think it's gonna get kids more aware since the people they want to be like are doing things like this :) Totally awesome.

I've lost interest in Disney many moons ago, but I'm always rooting for humanitarian efforts and an attempt to save the world. Kudos to Disney
