Mmm, honey. Ooey gooey and sweet. One cannot deny the deliciousness of honey (especially when it is locally harvested), but have you ever wondered how it gets from the bee to your tea? Here is a video from one local CA beekeeper, Kirk Anderson, about how he collects the sweet stuff using a backwards method that is more humane than most.
Very informative! We love how they use unconventional methods that keep the bees happy, or as he says, "let bees be bees." This blog post is also touching, about how Kirk went out of his way to rescue a swarm of bees that became displaced during the recent wildfires and found their way underneath a bicycle seat of all places.
