We can't express how saddened we are to learn that DJ AM passed away from a suspected drug overdose last Friday. The world has lost a great talent, a great friend, and a great role model. Although nothing has been confirmed, sources speculate that the recovered drug addict fell back into bad habits following a bad break-up, in addition to stress caused by his brush with death after surviving a plane crash last fall.

What makes his death even more bittersweet is the fact that he was working on a project with MTV to provide hope and help for current addicts who wish to break free of using. Here is a video in which DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) talks about the project, called Gone Too Far:
This eerie interview took place just a month before his untimely death. This goes to show you just how very serious a problem substance abuse is.
