October has only just begun, but we believe it's never too early to start hyping up the holiday season. We're already looking forward to Bob Dylan's Christmas album to benefit World Food Programme, but now Mariah Carey has announced she'll also be recording a Christmas song, with her Mom!

The record-breaking singer's mom is not only a vocal coach but a former Opera singer. That explains Mariah's incredible pipes!
Mariah's 1994 tune "All I Want For Christmas" has become a classic holiday song over the years, despite the singer's hesitation to record a Christmas album so early in her career.
- "When I realize how that song has become a part of Christmas tradition, it’s crazy to me, thrilling, humbling. You know, I didn’t want to do a Christmas album. It was Tommy [Mottola]’s idea. And I was all, ‘Please I’m a young girl. People don’t do Christmas albums until they are, like, 50. Some sort of last resort.’ But he insisted. ‘No, no. Do it. It’ll be a big hit. So I did and it was, and I’ll always be grateful for that."
We can't wait to hear what she comes out with this year! How early is TOO early to start listening to holiday music?
