Less than a week after his bid of $100,000 for the Twitter username @drew, comedian Drew Carey is upping the ante and offering a $1 million donation - IF he can get a million people following @DrewfromTV by the end of the year.

The current owner of @drew, our buddy Drew Olanoff, is auctioning off his valuable name in the name of progressing cancer research. After being diagnosed with Hodgkins' Lymphoma earlier this year, Olanoff began the viral hashtag #blamedrewscancer, giving internet users the chance to blame anything they wish on his cancer. The proceeds from the auction will benefit Lance Armstrong's LIVESTRONG Foundation, with whom Drew O. partnered with earlier this summer.
Drew Carey, currently host of gameshow The Price is Right, upped his initial $25k bid to $100k after realizing he could earn himself some followers out of this. Given the success of previous celebrity Twitter-follower-challenges (i.e., Ashton Kutcher vs Larry King's race to a million), we think this should be a breeze.
Carey recently sat down with Shira Lazar for CBSNews.com to chat about his bid:
