Despite its popularity, the majority of Facebook users find "poking" pretty obnoxious. But is it dangerous? Perhaps not by itself, but for one woman, her poking put her behind bars.

Shannon Jackson of Tennessee just couldn't help herself when she decided to poke a contact on her Facebook friends list, but she should have thought twice - because that contact just so happened to have a restraining order against her!
As we all know, a restraining order prohibits contact of any kind - physical, vocal, and apparently, virtual. Under Tennessee law, violation of a restraining order is a Class A misdemeanor, resulting in up to 11 months and 29 days of jail and a fine up to $2500. It's the world's most expensive poke!
Here's a question - if the woman was such a threat to her, why wouldn't the "pokEE" have deleted the "pokER" from their friends list? Simple forgetfulness? Regardless, we're bet Shannon is regretting that little click of a mouse now!
It's always interesting to see the ways social media is being used for more than just making friends and making money. Do you think the arrest was justified?
