PETA is one organization that has never had much trouble gaining attention for their animal rights campaigns. Their notoriously over-the-top and sometimes hilarious events and campaigns, often featuring well known celebrities, earn them looks and chatter from people of all ages, proving to be quite effective in raising awareness for cruelty to animals.
Their latest move for their Save the Seals ad campaign is taking the star power to the max - they've got celebs and musicians such as Animal Collective, Jennie Garth, Kelly Osbourne, Brody Jenner, Perez Hilton, Rachel Leigh Cook, Steve-O, and even Holly Madison (the former Miss Hugh Hefner), all speaking out to put a stop to the brutal and needless annual Canadian seal slaughter.

From PETA:
- "Each year, the Canadian government allows sealers to beat and skin hundreds of thousands of seals. Baby seals, some merely weeks old, have their skulls smashed in or are shot for their fur. Many of these gentle animals may not even have eaten their first solid meals or taken their first swim before they are slaughtered."
They are making some headway in their fight to stop this massacre, the European Union has placed a ban on all seal products and the U.S. Senate passed a resolution to end the seal slaughter, but there is much that still needs to be done.
