We all know there is risk of a worldwide water shortage just around the corner. 1 billion people don't have access to clean drinking water, but most of who do, have become so used to having it around and have begun taking it for granted, increasing our consumption exponetially. If we are going to reverse this shortage, it's going to take the cooperation of each and every one of us.
Here's a short and creative video from GOOD about how we can conserve water in our daily life.
Simple choices, such as what to eat and drink for breakfast, or how to wash your dishes, could save massive amounts of H2O. By going with all the smart, water-saving options outlined in this video, you could save over 1200 gallons of water a day! That could seriously add up.
This video really only touches the tip of the iceberg. For more information on how much water it takes to manufacture things like a bucket of paint (13 gallons), just one latte (53 gallons), or a pair of jeans (1,800 gallons of water!) and more, read this.
What changes have you made to conserve water?
