You know you're doing an effective job of getting yourself or your issue into the mainstream media when South Park devotes an entire episode to defaming and mocking you. The creators of the notoriously offensive and envelope-pushing cartoon, Matt and Trey, centered last night's episode of South Park, Whale Whores, around the whale saving efforts of TV series Whale Wars and documentary The Cove.

It's got some pretty graphic stuff in it, and if you're sensitive to this, we don't recommend watching. But if you're wearing your laughing pants and are ready to take a joke, you can check out the full episode online here.

Did you see the episode? What did you think, was it humorous or was it too over-the-top?

Just a couple of days into the construction of the new multi-million dollar school being built by Raising Malawi, Madonna is reaching out to people worldwide in hopes of gaining support and donations to fund any number of the organization's projects to benefit the children of Malawi. As Madonna explains in a video message, she will be matching the donations dollar for dollar with her own money.

picture-51

The singer and humanitarian penned a guest blog on Huffington Post today explaining her mission in Malawi and describing why she was so moved by the children of this country, one of the most poor in the world.

"Please join me in supporting the work of Raising Malawi," Madonna asked her fans. "Every dollar we collect will make a huge difference in a child's life. By matching your donation, dollar for dollar, I will personally ensure that your contribution has an even greater impact. That's a promise."

Read the entire letter here and check out her video message below:

Who knew getting a flu shot could be so detrimental to your health? A 25 year old woman in Ashburn, VA has become disabled after developing a rare neurological condition ten days after receiving a routine flu shot. The woman, Desiree Jennings, is having severe trouble eating and speaking, not to mention she can only walk backwards.

Jennings' physical therapist, who works at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, said symptoms point to dystonia, a disorder where muscle contractions cause involuntary body jerks and repetitive movements.

Prior to receiving the flu shot, Desiree was a healthy young woman who was even training to become a professional cheerleader for the Washington Redskins. She told Inside Edition that she noticed something was off when she couldn't eat without passing out. It was all downhill from there. See her story:

Experts claim the chance of experiencing such negative side effects from a flu shot are one in a million. Still, it makes you think twice before heading to your local health clinic.

picture-111

Why 350? Well, as this video explains, our current carbon count is at 390 parts per million. We need to get down to 350 parts per million. You can't help but love the adorable and supremely talented Leona Lewis, especially when she is performing extreme acts of kindness like rescuing a bunny in Los Angeles, refusing multi-million dollar deals because she is against fur, or speaking out on behalf of animals across the world in this PSA for World Society for the Protection of Animals.

Hear why Leona feels particularly close to this cause and how she has changed her habits to protect animals. You'll even catch a glimpse of her own pup, Misty.

If you, like Leona, have a soft spot for animals and want to raise awareness for their protection, please choose peta2 or spcaLA as your Cause on SocialVibe.
