Annie Lennox is rocking more than just the stage these days, the legendary singer was honored with the prestigious "Woman of Peace" award Wednesday at the Nobel Peace Laureate summit in Berlin.

For years, Lennox has been donating her time and energy to raising awareness of HIV/AIDS, especially for the affected women and children in South Africa. Her SING organization produced a song, "SING," featuring 23 female vocalists, helping the organization raise over $2 million for treatment, testing, HIV education and prevention programs in South Africa.
Lennox credits her passion for the cause to witnessing Nelson Mandela's declaring the disease a "genocide" while standing in front of his former prison cell on Robben Island. She said of the award:
- "I want to express my profound gratitude and deep humility. I honor all the women working around the globe to reduce the effects of this pandemic. This is for them, they truly deserve it."
So amazing. She definitely deserves this honor. Thanks for all you do, Annie!
