If you're thirsty for more energy-saving holiday tips, here is one to add to the list. While you're making the switch to LED lights because you're hoping to reduce your impact, don't just throw those old strands of incandescent lights in the dumpster. All you have to do is mail your lights (just your lights - no bubble wrap or packing peanuts - this is eco-friendly, after all) to the address on their website. Environmental LED will take them to their recycling center where they will break down and chop up the lights into various individual components (copper, glass, PVC). From there, they can recycle those materials appropriately.
