In the spirit of bidding farewell to what has been a roller coaster of a year, Facebook has crunched some numbers and released the first of what will be many "Memology" reports, in other words, what people updated their status about the most in 2009.

Topping the list was Facebook applications, no doubt filled with games like FarmVille and Mafia Wars (and, obviously, SocialVibe.) Members also spent alot of time griping, as FML was number two (Facebook reports this was most often used on Mondays & Tuesdays - coincidence? We think not.) Naturally, current events like swine flu and celebrity deaths came in numbers three and four, as updating your Facebook status was the first thing many of us did upon hearing the King of Pop had passed away.

Movies, Sports, Health Care, Lady GaGa and Twitter were also included in the Top 15 list.
