Have a video camera? If not, borrow one. On October 10th, people all over the world - that includes you – are invited to help document the story of One Day on Earth.
During a single 24-hour period, documentary filmmakers, students, and inspired citizens will film something happening in their corner of the world. Just sign up, film whatever inspires you on 10-10-2010, and upload it. The footage will be put together to create an historic documentary that the creators hope “will help capture the diversity of life and culture on this planet. Together we will create a document that is a gift to the world.”
There’s certainly no shortage of material; in just a single minute, 245 babies are born, 51,828 Tweets are sent, 100 acres of rainforest are cut down… you get the idea.

You can even see the locations of people all over the world who have pledged to record their experiences on that day. So far, no one’s signed up to film in Antarctica, so if you’ll be in the area…

Get started now at www.onedayonearth.org. What will you document?
